  2. Prepare 90 grams Hot cooked white rice
  3. Use 80 grams Kimchi
  4. Provide 1 Egg
  5. Get 1 tsp Sesame oil
  6. You need 300 grams Water
  7. Get 1 1/2 tsp Chicken soup stock granules
  8. Prepare 1 dash Soy sauce
  9. Get 1 Green onions or scallions
Instructions to make Easy Kalbi Gukbap:
  1. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and beat the egg. Cut the larger pieces of kimchi into smaller pieces.
  2. Heat some sesame oil in a pot and sauté the beef. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the meat has cooked through, add the water and soup stock granules. When it comes to a boil, skim off any scum.
  4. Add the kimchi (leave a little bit to add later) and soy sauce for flavor. Add the rice and simmer for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes your preferred consistency.
  5. Turn off the heat and swirl in the egg from Step 1. Cover with a lid until the egg becomes halfway cooked.
  6. Serve it in a dish, top with kimchi and scallions, and serve. Optionally drizzle with sesame oil.
