The ingredients needed to cook Yoghurt Flatbread:
- You need 200 g Greek yogurt (low fat is optional)
- Prepare 200 g Plain flour
- Take 1-2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- Use 1/2 tsp Salt
- Get Dash ground black pepper
- Take * Recommened herbs and spices
- You need 1/2 tsp Rosemary (not fresh)
- Get 1/2 tsp Thyme (not fresh)
Steps to make Yoghurt Flatbread:
- Put in the flour, yoghurt, bicarbonate of soda, salt, pepper and herbs in a bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon till roughly blended, then combine with hands till the it has turned into a shaggy dough ball. Then knead for 2-5 mins or until it turns into a nice dough.
- Shape the dough into an inch, thick disk and split into 8. Roll each bit into a ball.
- Heat pan. Roll out one of the small dough balls into 1/2 cm thick disk.
- Pop the disk into the pan and flip when bubbles start popping up and a little bit of steam comes up from underneath. When flipped wait for 30 secs and transfer onto a plate. - Repeat this step till all 7 are done.
While the first flatbread is cooking, roll out the second flatbread so it is ready. Put the cooked flatbread on a plate and repeat the process, until all the flatbreads are cooked. Use it for naan, pizza crusts, wraps, soft tacos, burgers, or for soaking up soups and sauces. Dust a clean work surface with flour, then tip out the dough. Greek Yogurt- The lower the fat content of your Greek yogurt, the better it will mix with the flour.
