- Dice onion, peppers, jalapeños, and garlic.
- In a stock pot over high heat add butter and bacon grease. Add onions, peppers, jalapeños and cook until caramelized. Add garlic and cook for another minute or two.
- Add cubed sirloin and cook until browned. Add ground beef and cook until browned stirring occasionally.
- Add tomatoes, beer, coffee, beef broth and tomato paste.
- Add spices and stir in beans.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for at least 2 hours.
