- Wash and Soaked the lentil for 3-4 hrs. Wash and Chopped the spinach. Blanch it and strain all the water.
- After 4 hrs strain all the water from the lentil. Take a grinding jar. Add lentil, spinach, green chillies, ginger, curd to the jar. Grind it coarsely
- Take the batter in the mixing bowl. Add lemon juice, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt mix it properly. Add coriander leaves and mix it again.
- Now take half of the batter in another bowl add baking soda. Pour 2 tsp of water on baking soda and whisk it properly. The batter will become light and fluffy.
- Put a nonstick pan on medium flame. Add oil mustard seeds let it tempered. Low the flame add sesame seeds, asafoetida, red chillies powder. Now add batter to the pan. Close the lid for 10 min.
- Open the lid see one side is done. Then flip the handva to the other side. Close the lid again for 10 min.
- Open the lid and check it by the toothpick. If it comes out clean the handva is done. If it stick close the lid for 5 more min.
- For second handva. Clean the pan with tissue. Do tempering again and follow the step5,6,7
